Israel's war on Gaza began in October 2023. While it has impacted all sections of society, it's the women who are suffering the most. For the women, the ongoing war is not merely a disquieting reality—it's a violation of their most fundamental human rights, including reproductive freedom.
Many pregnent women have no access to sanitary or safe healthcare. In some pockets, women have no access to basic needs. According to the data from UN, around 155,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are facing obstacles to antenatal and postnatal care. They are facing a complete deterioration of their reproductive rights.
